Recoleta and San Telmo are great to walk around. La Boca is also cool but a bit too touristic for my taste.

Aproveite a viagem. http://fragatasurprise.blogspot.com/2010/10/mi-buenos-aires-querido.html

Go to Recoleta (see the cemetary, Plaza Francia, and just walk around a bit) Go to Palermo (many bars and very good restaurants). A couple of good places to check out, in my opinion: Mundo Bizarro http://www.mundobizarrobar.com/home.php Niceto http://www.nicetoclub.com/ Roxy Bar. Podesta (bar and disco) Antares bar (expensive) Definetely go to San Telmo. Many cool bars there too like Gibraltar, Puerta Roja. La Trastienda (for small intimate shows) In the downtown area, check out the bar El Living, and many great pizza places along Corrientes Avenue. Caminito and La Boca are also popular destinations. El Tigre is beautiful (but faraway if you are staing downtown)

You must eat at the sports steakhouse in San Telmo. Marradona eats there frequently!
