Big difference from the United States - They drive on the wrong side of the Road. Hint before stepping off the curb look right then left. Steering wheel is on the wrong side also.

I live in England. Whilst I wouldn't really rate it as a place to live - that may just be because I live here. If you're considering travelling to England, there are some pretty nice places: - Gloucester - Home to a beautiful cathedral and lots of rural areas to explore - London - The obvious choice for tourists! - Stratford upon Avon - undoubtedly you've heard of Shakespeare, well this is his birthplace. You can visit his grave in a beautiful church, there's always entertainment on and the area is pretty beautiful too. Hope this helps! :)

Different. the people are very nice and there is a lot to see. We only had 1 day there, but saw Buckingham palace and surrounding area, Tower of London is cool and we were surprised that its not a tower at all, but a fortress.

I'm a British man (well Irish but I was raised in London) and like everyone else has said, we love talking about the weather. It doesent rain half as much as people say it does (not at this time of year) but still don't expect any sunbathing weather. There's plenty of places to go and do stuff here though, London, Newcastle, Cornwall, Liverpool should deffo be at the top of your list of places to go and see. Just make sure you know what you want to do before you get over here, we might be a small country, but we are a packed one ;)

Its expensive, cloudy, rainy, miserable. But on the few days it does not rain and the sun shines, it is magnificent. The people by nature are not that friendly (Would you be if it was rainy and cloudy all year?), unless you engage them in converse. Would you be if it was rainy and cloudy all year?

I really enjoyed my trip to London and Bath in May and we had an unusual climate in that it barely clouded up at all while we were there. Overall I loved the friendliness of the people and the way they speak with such eloquence. The history is so available and interesting as well.

Well the weather is very unprodictable, sun and rain in the same hour is common! People are generally friendly and helpful. Most places have great public transport. There is always something intesting to see or do where ever you choose to stay. London obviously has many sights and attractions but it can be expensive.

expensive. lots of history and wonderful old architecture. weather is a mixed bag from cold wet winds to hot hot days to cold and snowy all in summer. bring layers and at least one of them waterproof. public transportation is great with the tube in London and trains to all other areas. check out getting a train pass in advance. plan on walking a lot. pub grub is inexpensive though not necessarily low in fat or healthy.

As others say, it depends. I live here for the last 8 years and I like the countryside. What's amaze me a lot is that roads seems to be busier during weekends. People go to places because here is plenty to see. Get some good guide, this will make your journey easier and some raincoat too.

Make sure that you are prepared for the weather. Winter can be harsh and summer can be fairly warm. The UK varies, depending on where you go. If you are going as a tourist, I would reccomend: London: The Tower of London, The Dungeons of London, London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Giraffe Cafe, Madame Tuseudes wax museum, The London Eye, London Underground - go to France for the weekend; Stone Henge (south of London, you need a car) The Giant's Courseway (North, in scotland I think) William Shakespeare's Birthtown - Stratford upon Avon.

Gray, rainy most of the time, expensive, I never had a great meal even though I do like meat pies. I will not be going back if I can ever help it. There are too many other places worth visiting for me to spend my time and money in.
