Fish and sea shells, definitely! Try ATLAS CLUB NAUTIKA. If you're asking local people, avoid cheap restaurants.

Cevapcici !!! My favourite food!!!!
Recipe
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/2 pound ground lamb
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon minced garlic or garlic powder
Put all of the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and knead well to bind the meats and spices together. Refrigerate for about 2 hours and then take out and knead well again.Shape into finger-length shapes (just like small sausages) and cook on a grill or in a broiler over a moderate temperature so that they stay juicy. Turn only once and do not pierce. Serve in warmed or grilled bread on a bed of onions. Also good with kajmak or sour cream, fresh peppers, AJVAR and tomatoes.
Enjoy!
Greetings Sabrina

The fish and seafood in the Dalmatia are usually very good - especially mussels. Decent cuts of steak and lamb are good too.

If you're a vegetarian, you're a little out of luck-Croatians are big meat eaters. If you are going to be on the Dalmatian coast, there are endless seafood options...be careful though, because much of it will still have eyes! There are also plenty of fresh vegetable and fruit options, as each town will have an outdoor market. And all along the coast, you will find all the gelato you can eat!

Food choice depends of the region, each region in Croatia has its original dishes. When visiting croatian coast-Dalmatia-Dubrovnik then taste seafood dishes ( oysters, fish, scampi.......), there are several good restaurants in Dubrovnik, or you can visit Ston (40 min by car from DBV), it's little town on peninsula of Peljšac they have very good seafood dishes and vine as well. If you prefere meat, pasta or something else there is classic restaurant choice. You can taste dish called Dalmatinska pržolica..... Which you pleasant stay in Croatia!
