Bei-tou is a famed tourist attraction. As such, it is a cluster of hot springs ripe for choices. But be sure to do your homework before going on which is best! Asking the locals is always recommended.

Check out Bei-tou, a suburb of Taipei. It's got the most and best hotsprings.

I've been to hot springs in Beitou, Wulai (both close to Taipei) as well as in the south of Taiwan (near Kenting). I think nothing can beat the millenium public hot spring in Beitou. It's close to the MRT, cheap (40NTD or 20NTD for students) and quite clean. Don't expect a spa there, but it's the best place to relax a few hours for small money. Most other hot springs are 200NTD and above. Enjoy!

I agree with that. There are many in Taiwan, but I found Bei-tou's the most convenient because you can just take the MRT and get there.
