Can anyone suggest a clean hostel/cheap hotel in Berlin?

Mittes Backpackers, just in the center of Berlin, 5 minutes close to Friedichstrasse. It's about 15€ and it's clean and great friendly atmosphere!

The best one is Amstel House, 5 min walking from Turmstrasse (U-9) and the cheapest price: 8,50 euros!

Wombats, while it is a little expensive it is very large with a lot of facilities and very good security.

there's one that is located kind of far from the city center (in Wannsee), but in warmer seasons may be appealing (Wannsee is the famous Berlin 'beach' region). I really liked Wombats - great views from the bar, extremely clean rooms and facilities, small rooms with ensuite, great common area. Only draw back was kitchen / eating area was tiny.

I've been in the A&O near the Zoologischer Garten. It is clean and cheap, but due to its localization, from my room I could listan all night long the announcements from the train station!

Singer109 was incredible. It was clean, spacious, and the staff was incredible. It was the best hostel I stayed in my whole trip. I think anyone who wants to stay near the city should stay here. It's got a wonderful restaurant with a great breakfast buffet that is only five euros, and it is very close to the Jannowitzbrüke S-Bahn station. You can easily walk to the East Side Gallery or anything on Karl-Marx Allee. Great place in a great location.

Schlafmeile hostel, its really friendly, lovely and run by a kiwi! about 7 min walk from frankfurt allee sbahn

I went again and stayed at a different place, great location to metro, breakfast and it's own bar. Generator Hostel. Good experience - clean/many room options, elevator.

in berlin you can find a lot of hotel but you also can take an apartment for few days and the prices are low and sometimes it's better than the hotel. I hope it 'll help you

Wombats Hostel... do not even think twice... its brand new and unbelievable... from 18 - 25 euros a night!!! unforgetable and you meet the most amazing people!!

globetrotter hostel odysee. we stayed there two months ago and we'll definitely go back there when we return to berlin. great place, great price, great people.

www.schall-und-rauch.de its a fantastik private pension "Hostel" with great rooms and amazing food. Very much reccomended. Single rooms starting at 35€ incl breakfast! If you need any more tips for berlin, let me know... i used to live ther 3 years

Wombats - is near Rosa Luxemborg station, easy walk to Alexanderplatz and just about anywhere else you'd want to go in Berlin, almost brand-new, great amenities and security, friendly staff, great bar with views of the city and cheap drinks...

Try the Sunflower Hostel, more information www.sunflower-hostel.de. Breakfast included, near S-Station Warschauer Strasse.

the generator hostel is berlin is pretty reasonable, around 15-20 euros a night for a dorm room, its a great hostel, very clean, good breakfast included and right next to a s-bahn station so easy to get around berlin.enjoy!
