Can you get visa for sumatra, indonesia at entrance or should i gp embassy?

visa on arrival is applicable if you want to enter indonesia.

if you are from: South Africa, Algeria, USA, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Holland, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Cyprus, Denmark, Uni Emirates Arab, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, Hungary, India, Great Britain, Iran, Irish, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Germany, Cambodia, Canada, South Korea, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Egypt, Monaco, Norway, Oman, Panama, France, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, China, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, NZ, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Swiss, Taiwan, Tunisia and Greece, then you can apply for Visa on Arrival. The cost is 10 USD for 7 days visa or 25 USD for 30 days visa. Possible entrance gates to apply for VoA, if you are traveling to Sumatra: Seaports: -Belawan, Medan, North Sumatra -Batam Centre, Batam (you could take ferry from singapore to here) -Sibolga, Sibolga, North Sumatra -Yos Sudarso, Dumai, Riau Airports: -Polonia, Medan, North Sumatra -Sultan Syarif Kasim II, Pekanbaru -Tabing, Padang, South Sumatra -Soekarno Hatta, Jakarta -Halim Perdana Kusuma, Jakarta VoA is non-extendable. If you want to stay longer than 30 days, apply for student or business or social-culture visa at embassies, that would valid for 90 days and extendable. Countries other than mentioned above, should apply for visa at embassies.

Visa on arrival at the aerport is for 1 month.... from ambassy is for 2 months..the price is around 25 US doll. in Thailand.. but as natasha said you can cross the boarderline and do it again in Kuala Lumpur...

you can get on the airport - after 3 monthas you have to cross the boder for a day and than get a new one. if your swiss, german or austrian you don't need a visa

cost of that visa is $25 but if you wanna stay longer than 30 days u shoud go to the embassy 'cause visa on arrival is not extendable.

You can get visa on arrival. I'm not sure about the cost. try the net on Indonesia's immigration law. they might publish it. Or checkout Travel Advisor's website. bon voyage!
