Certainly not ! Solving problems makes travelling worthwile. If you stay on the beaten track you are most likely to experience little or nothing, and meet a lot of nondescript travellers who think they are still home watching TV..

we do as aften as we can and are always delighted with the results. Lovely people who want to share their culture and drinks! Beautiful sites like nowhere else and peace, loads of it.

I always go off the path, eat where the locals eat, ask them where the best adventures are, take in the music,culture. after all is that not why you came?

The best way to experience a culture is to do it in the homes of the people who don't normally see tourists!

Not at all! I actually like it, because you experience uniqueness of culture/geographical area and gain insights into which you sometimes cannot if you follow the "touristy" path.
