If you want to visit in Petronas Tower, go early in the morning to get waiting number, then you will have some hours time to do shoppings before it's your turn to take a visit to the towers. Try eating in foodgardens, you can find those basicly in any shopping malls, food is good and cheap and a lot of choices to select. Outside the city with easy reach is Batu Caves, worth of visiting too. If you have more time to spend 2-3 nights, go definetely to Cameroon Highlands (take a tour to tea plantations etc), that is really beautiful place near KL.

COme to Penang! and pay a visit to Georgetownt the world heritage site! Local delicacies is a must try! u'll love it!

I dont have very good opinion about Kuala Lumpur but do visit Langkawi Islands...its a beautiful holiday destinations & besides there is lots to do....

go and see the perhentian islands on the eastcoast of malaysia... diving and snorkelling is awesome and the small island is just like paradise! Penang: get yourself a motorbike and a map and drive around the island! =D

CHINATOWN has the best food

penang : it is good to stay in georgetown, it is cool city, total mixture of Chinese, Indian, Malaysian people, not too many tourist. there are some buildings worth seeing, and food!!! food is amazing, you can get anything from Asian culinary, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Indonesian....etc and they even say that it is better than in place of origin! For KL i can recommend cheap and clean hostel, perfect for backpackers : backpackers travelers in located on Jalal Peteling in Chinatown, great atmosphere and roof top bar!!

don't forget small change and toilet paper for the public restrooms!!

In KL, you can see great views from Menara Kuala Lumpur (aka the KL tower), but it costs. It's really difficult to get tickets to the twin towers since they only give out 50 a day for free, people usually start queueing reeeeally early in the morning. You can get a really great view from The Lookout Point as well. (Go there after nightfall, the lights will be amazing. There are a few restaurants up there, so it's nice to dine by the lovely view) In KL you should also visit Chinatown, and pasa malam by night. Oh, and Gua Batu (aka the Batu caves) Taste everything local! Especially the fruits. And White Coffee (even though you can get the best white coffee from Ipoh where it was invented) Penang island is a must-visit place. Check out the beaches and temples!

Pangkor Island is worth a visit and a detour ro Kuala Kangsar would be worth the effort.

it can be dangerous to swim in the sea on Penang because of jelly-fish. Take a boat to Langkawi.

Make a stop at the Pherentian Islands on the East Coast!!!
