Bocas del Toro is a must. There is a little eco-resort called Eclypse del Mar that is a perfect place to stay. From there, you are a five-minute water taxi ride ($5) to Bocas Town or Isla La Carenera. We ate at Eclypse some nights when we were tired, but usually went into town. Don't miss Nine Degrees for fine dining. It is not as expensive as it deserves to be.

Oh man, Panama is amazing! An amazing destination is Bocas del Torro. Bocas del Torro is a chain of islands where the nightlife is amazing, snorkeling extensive, and surfing great. Give yourself at least a week in Bocas, you won't regret it. I stayed at the Grand Kahuna Hostel and liked it because the Rasta guys who ran the hotel also worked (or owned?) a popular bar in town, La Iguana.

I have spent some time in Panama and I found it to be an exciting place. It is a nature lover's paradise. The people are friendly and have a homogenized culture that is very interesting (including the food). If you are seeking a party atmosphere and nightlife you can find it easily. I traveled all across the country without the slightest problem. Oy yeah, the canal - check it out, very cool. Oh, and the water from the tap is some of the bst in the world (Panama City). Have fun. Good journeys!

hey Julie Panama is not a favourite destination for tourists anymore due to rampant corruption in the city that is on the rise. To add on, kidnappings and street crime are largely responsible for the deterioration of panama tourism. For more information, please log in to http://blackpanama.blogspot.com/ .

I'm looking to head to Panama in January maybe. Bocas del Toro looks like the place to visit if you want some quiet, relaxing time.
