Sarawak is great! Within a few hours from Kuching (capital)you can reach national parks such as Bako. People ARE friendly, a mixture of many cultures, rainforest is great (if they don't chop it away), and lot's of places good to reach.

Hell, yeah! I'm actually right in Sandakan, Sabah, for the second time in one year. This is such a fabulous place. Jungle, amazing flora and fauna, fantastic people, great diving and snorkeling spots, natural wonders (caves, mountains, rivers) and good food. If you want to come to Borneo, I'd be help to give you some hints and put in contact with one of the best guides around. Brad

one of my favourite place, Loksado at South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Can be reached by 6 hours drive from Banjarmasin (capital of South Kalimantan province). Loksado is the easiest way to experience Dayak culture. The forest is still good for easy hiking to reach another Dayak village : Haratai, the fountain, orchids and traditional Dayak ceremony. Do a night hike, you'll see stars just like on top of the tree, and a lot of glow in the dark creatures.

Borneo rock's!! Gotta climb mount Kinabalu (4000m at the top but very easy if you re healthy of course) in sabah area. I loved gunung mulu national park in Sarawak too. Amazing jungle !!

Yes. Borneo is amazing. Hopefully, they stop cutting down so many trees.
