South Australia Questions

Question asked in : South Australia - 1 year ago

Hey all, I'm down in Tasmania for the semester and my housemates and I want to do a week long trip on the mainland at the end of may/early June. We want to do a great white cage dive and we were wondering if anyone knew of any cheap ways to go about this. Any other cheap travel ideas for southern and central Australia?

Diving with great sharks is anything but cheap, and that's probably best for security! You can do this near Adelaide and it costs around $500 per person with no guarantee of seeing one (I think you get a 50% discount on a secund dive if there's no) Cheap travelling: get a lift! :)

Travelling by car is the cheapest. If you don't want to buy or rent a car, go arround hostels and have a look at the notice-boards. Most of the time people who have a car are looking for people to travel with them, share the costs.

australia is not cheap at all, best thing to do, in my opinion, buy a cheap car and go around, gas in the middle is very very expensive tho!
