How can I get from Kiev Borispol airport into the city center. I read about the Atass bus company. Are they good? How do I find them at the airport? Any alternatives?

The simpliest and the cheappest way to get Kyiv from Boryspil Int'l Airport is to use Sky Bus transfer service. It's schedulled, 24/7, very cheap and relatively comfortable. Brightly coloured buses start every 15 minutes daily and up to every half hour at night. You could visit http://www.skybus.kiev.ua and buy the ticket on-line.

If you are going for a taxi, than call when lending (you will anyway need at least 30min to pass all controlls) and do not take one which is offered there (they make foreigners pay 2-3x more than the standard rate). When calling a taxi you will normally be told the exact rate for the ride and the number of cap, picking you up. I can suggest following taxi agencies I also use: +380445314531 +300442480606 For the case you do not speak russian, ask somebody from your plane - normally people are quite helpful :-)

Better to call taxi, for example Optima BEFORE arrival and take it from airport. Will be cheap and good. Never use taxies, what are waiting in the airport. if you drive with bus, use one with number on front. Go with it till end, and there use underground train (big green letter "M")

Sky Bus is new brand name for Atass bus company. It's pretty easy to find their buses in the Boryspil Int'l. The stop is located in front of Terminal B and the other stop is somewhat righthand of main entrance of Terminal F. The Buses are coloured with white and magenta with big words SKY BUS on the boards. Detailed info is on http://www.skybus.kiev.ua

Both small busses and taxis are good. If you are in a hurry, take a taxi. It will take you about 30-45 minutes. Cost: 120-150 hrn.(12-13 euro) Be careful as when they see youre not Ukrainian, they may ask you to pay 50 to 100 dollars! dont take them! Dont take a big bus (a big bus is for about 60 pepole). It will take you 1-2 hours to get there. A small bus (the so-called MARSCHRUTKA) costs only 20-30 hrn, thats 2-3 euros, whats more, some of them are quicker or as quick as a taxi.

There's several buses and taxis hanging around, just wander out the front and jump on a bus. Myself I'd get one going to Vidubitchi and get the metro into town from there, its also a good place to hitch a ride out of town if you prefer to go south (c:
