How safe is it to go to Sri Lanka these days? I'm going to Colombo and then further south, for some relaxation at the beach.

Don't worry. It s safe. No problem about security. People are very welcoming. Everybody smile. You gonna enjoy it ;)

no problem, even the north east is quite and safe, and has beautifull beaches.
