Depends on where you are in the UK, but as far as I know there is a flight connection from Jersey to Erfurt. In Erfurt you can take the train to Gera, which needs one and a half hour. Another airport would be in Leipzig/Halle (from London Stansted; train to Gera 2h 15min) or Frankfurt am Main (train to Gera ~4 hours).
