Difficult question. I've been to Mt. Sinai. And it was amazing! Climbing up in the middle of the night and reach the top till dawn and see the rising sun and the moon together (I think we were lucky for this view)..but I don't think I would go back for this...but I would go back to see Egypt again, and I'm sure there are some new beautiful less touristic place. And if you climb it: don't forget to bring headlight, because it's dark at night (fortunately we had full moon and it showed the way, but without moon and light....)

yeh spend ur money somewhere else its amazing but dont go back just for those places u could do luxor dive in dahab as well if u wanna go back

dahab is about an hour north of sharm. i would definitely go back to egypt if you haven't been there. from dahab there are many amazing things to do and you can book a trip to climb mt sinai. i wouldn't make a special trip to egypt for mt sinai, but i would for dahab. check out some trips from there with sphinx safari. ask for hany or wissam. and no, i'm not getting any commission for recommending them. they're just great guys and really know everything about the sinai.

Thank You for the answers. So If I were to go back. How far is dehab from Sharm Sheiq? Where is the best place to base? Sharm has the airport. If I go back, in addition to MT. Sainai, Sharm, and Dehab what else should I add to do? I have done the cruise on the river to Luxor, done Cairo, Abu Simbel, Luxor, Pyramids.

I highly recomend Sinai, coral reefs with all the fish you can imagine. The Sinai mountain with 1500 stairs. The shortcut down instead of taking the road is more stairs; 3500. Make sure to bring wather. Happy traveling

First I didn't know what is the other place. :o) I didn't like Sharm El sheikh, it's toooo touristic. with 4-5 star hotels. I prefer Dahab. The sea also nice there, and cheaper.

If you like deserts and you'd like to see the mountain where Moses has received the 10 commendments, go to Sinai. You'd climb the mountain at dawn and watch the sunrise. As for Sharm El Cheikh it's good for diving and snorkeling.

I have been all over Egypt and i would go back and climb Mt Sinai and dive in Dahab again. What made Mt Sinai special was the climb, in the dark with lots of camels around, and great views. What makes Dahab so special is the diving. Where else can you catch a camel to a remote, untouched dive site? i love the vibe in dahab, sitting on cushions with a drink just chilling in the sun... I loved egypt, and will prob go back in the next 2years, i made heaps of local friends and i guess if you have to ask the question to go back or not, maybe keep exploring and come back another time. Or tie it in with another trip, like get the ferry from Neuiba to Aqaba, Jordan. Or Libya. Thats amazing. Happy travels xx
