where in algeria you will go? In algiers you have plenty of places to see: Kasbah (18century), Bardo (museum), notre dame d'afrique (cathedral), bastion23 (forteress),grande poste, sea side, all the city is a museum especially if you go in the highest places. You have also plenty of restaurants and nightclubs like all capitals, some parks (jardin d'essais)...etc. If you go to Tipaza or Cherchel (about 70km from algiers) you can go to Roman and venecian Ruins and also to Tambeau de la chritienne it's amazing! If you go to west of Algeria you must visit Telemcen and Oran. In the East, Constantine is a MUST see city. If you go to the SOUTH you will never want to leave it. I never found a place like this.. amazing is a weak word to describe it! GO see it yourself (tamanrasset, timimoun, djanet and taghit). Enjoy your trip!!!

Tamanrasset is for me the ultimate desertcity. Visiting the Assakrem is a must-do. Go strawling through the streets, visit the shops. Good Camping. Last stock-up place before the BIG Desert, no roads anymore after this one !

You should go to Wahran, Oran!! This is a nice city at the coast, where you find nightlife, sun, fun, beach and some other stuff.. The library is a nice building, santa cruz, wilaya, .. Go there and see for yourself!

The Sahara desert in Algeria is stunning. I did a safari around Djanet and it was absolutely amazing. The Hoggar is also in the Sahara and has spectacular mountains in the middle of the desert. There are also some Roman ruins to visit, but I'm sorry I can't remember the names since I was there 18 years ago!
