Spring is fine for a visit. For a Rock-Club you should check out the "Logo" or if you like it really hard, go to the "ballroom", there are more kind of metal-rockbands. There is a nice hostel called "Schanzenstern" in a very popular area whith lots of bars, restaurants and independend stores but I don't know the prices.

Check out where Wild Touch or the Rockhouse Brothers are playing, those are really great Hamburg rock/hard rock bands. The Barbarabar in Hamburger Berg (Kiez/Reeperbahn) plays cool and unusual music. On the weekends it's really full. Visit Wilhelmsburg! Take a look at the lighthouse and the parks in the city, like Planten un Blomen.

I've stayed in the A&O Hostel in the Reeperbahn. This hostel is the best I've ever been! It's actually a hotel, but with hostel price. And besides, it is located in the Reeperbahn, the place where you'll find all the good night clubs and bars. I would strong recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Hamburg.

Hi there, Spring is a good time to come to Hamburg, although everytime in the year are a lot of tourists in Hamburg. At the "Kiez" in St. Pauli you find a lot of Rock-Clubs. Especially next to the "Albersplatz" are some bars. I can recommend the "Cobra Bar". "Schanzenstern" is not bad. Some friends of me also stayed there for some days. They liked it.
