Definitely go on Top of the Rock(erfeller Center) It is better than Empire state building! Highline is nice for a little break and if you go with the staten island ferry (for free) you can see the statue of liberty and Manhatten Skyline. Really nice! And go to see a musical on Broadway...awesome!

I would definitely take in a Broadway show. The Empire State Building is a great way to see the slyline. Viewing the Statue of Liberty from the ferry is nice even if you don't stop on Ellis Island. If you have children Build A Bear or the American Girl store are a must. There is a fancy McDonalds on Broadway or Megu for an expensive but worth the trip meal for two!

I'd start with Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City, Central Statue Park, take a cruise along the Hudson River to see the Statue of Liberty and finally go shopping at Fifth Avenue. You can go around all these sights on foot.

Remember it's very hot and humid in the summer time. The most pleasant time is May, June or September, October.
