Climb the stairs and walk the city walls (some 2 km). Definitely worthwhile the effort. Great views of the city and it's surroundings

:) as others are saying it can be expencive.but not neccesary. if you turn off the main street you can pay normal price for almoast everything. buy water, and snacks only in local supermarkets like "Konzum", or ciosk shop "Tisak". You must visit "Gruž" - one part of Dubrovnik - its amazing. If you have any specific questions about traveling to and from, hotels, or any other info, i would be happy to assist you on free skype info service about Croatia. I am from organisation for the promotion of tourist destinations in Croatia. you can add us on skype ID. onecroatia or you can write us an email on info@uzaphr.org - This service is 100% free of charge. and it is available from 10:00 - 18:00 CE+1

A little bit expensive on that season. In the old city the restaurants near Stradun are more expensive than those in the city (the domaći, people from Dubrovnik, usually eat out of the walls) Visit the hidden caffe on the rocks called Buža and swimm on the adriatic sea!

watch out, because dubrovnik is expensive at summer, always ask for bill in restaurants and check it twice. visit the old town walls and watch towers (called "dubrovačke zidine"), also take a stroll down the main street - stradun. also there are many little boats you can take to small nearby islands with very nice nature and beaches, such as lopud. enjoy!

Well, the old (walled) city centre is definitely beautiful and pictoresque; no cars, good food ^_^ But do take a trip around the surrounding countryside! it's beautiful!

It's a good time to visit Dubrovnik. It's beautiful city, but you should take a time and visit whole region around the city... lots of interesting places and nature of course. Try as many tradicional dishes as you can!

Mind the bill when you're in a bar. They tend to overcharge foreigners. Don't go during the summer, it tends to be overcrowded.
