Reims is a brilliant place to stay. It has a few great sites, like the cathedral, the wine cellars and the musée saint-Remi. The city can been seen in 1-2 days. Just make sure you take a day to do the "route du champagne", it's an indicated route taking you past vineyards and cute little villages. One village you should definitly see is Hautvillers. (So lovely and don't they know it.) This is the place where Dom Perignon made the champagne production what it is today. There are other nice little sights on the way. There is a really good tourist office right next to the cathedral in Reims. They will also help you make a reservation to visit one of the champagne cellars. Just enjoy the nice views, the good food and of course the champagne.

You can visit Rheims (Reims) and its world famous Cathedral and Champagne cellars. You can go to Troyes and see the old mediavel houses. You can visit Epernay and visit the Champagne celllars again. You can visit first world war museums, like the Fort de la Pompelle. You can have forest and vineyard walks. You can go to the "Lac du Der" if you want to relax on a lake.
