yes it definitely is. right now it's the rainy season aka low season (may-oct), so most hotels in the beach areas are offering discounts on rooms. 50% off a room in a nice hotel is common. lots of restaurants in the areas also offer discounts at this time, so lots of drink deals to be had also! i just spent a week in krabi and another couple of days in ko chang- definitely worth it. the beaches weren't crowded at all, and it only rained a little bit (except on ko chang). keep in mind bangkok probably won't be cheaper, as there doesn't ever seem to be a "low" season there.

Thailand is cheap, but Cambodia is a little cheaper, so beautiful and the people will not try to rip you off like in Thailand. And the Angkor temples are amazing!

yeah, it's dead cheap to go to vacation in thailand. There's less tourists about so hotels and places are dropping their prices. It's great!

Low season is form March till October. But it's also rainy. So, be careful. Anyway, high season is not that expensive either

Thailand is compared to Europe very cheap. November - January is typically the high season with a bit higher prices - but still cheap enought.
I would suggest to rent a private house / condo if you want to stay for more than 1 month.

Oh Yes..Much Cheaper than Europe :)
But if you intend to visit a different island each day and attend the awesome Fantasea show each night or visit a Go go late night ...hold the dollars tight
