Bergen is a must visit city, lovely with great surronding mountains. A must do there is to take the Fløybanen and check out the view, and visit Bryggen. I would also recommend traveling a bit furhter south to Lysefjorden and hiking up Prekestolen. In the summertime far northern norway in Nordkapp is a great idea, there you can experience the sun never setting, as well as seeing it setting and rising at the same time. Hope you have a great time!

Statue park in Oslo and palace. Flam Railway. Be warned, if you stay outside of Oslo you might have to buy/bring your own linen if you stay in cottages or apartments. Not so much with hotels.

Depending on your budget, try a cruise called Hurtigruten! It goes from the South or Norway to the distant north. I went up to Tromsø and it was awesome, I could see the Aurora Borealis and all the spetacular fjords.

If you are into landscape, go to the fjords in Bergen. It's on the west side of Norway. I've never been though because it's so far from Oslo.
However, I spent a month in Oslo. Vigeland Park is definitely beautiful. They just built the Operhaus which you can walk around on top of the building. I also suggest you go shopping. There's also a huge Pakistani town and Vietnamese town there, so make sure to try some of their food. Lastly, I know fishing is a huge pasttime there, so try that also.
Enjoy your trip.

What is really special in Norway? Fjords and the coast. Go by train to Bergen. The city Bergen is beautyfuly situated between mountains on the west coast. If you like hiking, make a stop at Finse. Further to the west, magnificent detour (also railway) to Flom (by Sognefjorden, the longest fjord). From Bergen take the coastal steamer 'Hurtigruten' to Måløy or Ålesund. Bus along fjords and valleys back to Oslo.
If you go for a northern alternative (midnight sun), make sure to visit the coast. Again, the coastal steamer Hurtigruten is a good way of seeing for example the islands Lofoten. Lofoten and surroundings is a must if heading northwards.
Tromsø is the city to visit if heading far north and you want to meet people (my favorite bar/cafe town).
