Marco Polo ice cream 1447 Taraval St. They have Italian gelato in unusual flavors like lichee, durian, red bean, taro, etc. It's so good! And I'm not an ice cream person usually.

You should look for the wallpainting. Didn't see them myself, but my sister and mother told me they were beautiful! The village Sausalito is also very beautiful. We went by bike, after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge.

I would stay at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf. It is in a perfect location. A block away from the piers, the cable car pick-up, tours, Ghiradelli Square. There was a tour we took on a cable car (which picked us up right at the hotel) around all of San Francisco, including riding over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was perfect!

I love Fisherman's Wharf, if you go all the way to the end, you can look at the sea lions laying around on the docks. There is also a Boudin Sourdough Factory that has amazing clam chower bread bowls. The factory is also not very far away, along Jefferson Street, if you want to see (and smell) some baking bread. And the bush man usually hangs out on this road, so keep yours eyes open, he might jump out at you! I also agree with others: Ghiradelli square. I like to order the mint sundae and sit down in the place for a while.

Taking in the view from the Golden Gate Bridge and the Twin Peaks. Museum-going at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. Sampling the chocolate at Ghirardelli. Fine dining at Postrio. Casual Italian dining in North Beach. Cocktails and people-watching at Harry Denton's Starlight Room. I could go on and on.

the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. It's the only place on the planet with an aquarium, a planetarium , a natural history museum, and a 4-story rainforest all under one roof. Morrison Planetarium is the largest all-digital planetarium in the world.
and the Golden Gate Bridge, the Cliff House...

San Fransisco has a wide range of activities to offer based on your interests. My favorite places are Chinatown, where you can get some amazing food, and the lesser known Japantown, which has great shopping. <3

There are so many things to do in San Francisco. It really just depends on what you are looking for. Of course the obvious for sightseeing is Pier 39, Golden Gate Park, the Golden Gate Bridge is a nice walk or you can ride a bike and there's Coit Tower or Twin Peaks for unique views of the city. Shopping at the Westfield Mall or Macy at Union Square. There's also Louis Vuitton, Prada & Armani if that's your taste in clothing... real high end retail stored. Great hotels: Parc 55, Marriott, Sir Francis Drake. There is even a great pub by North Beach called Tiernan's. Good luck! I'm sure you'll enjoy anything you decide to do in San Francisco :)

You can rent a bike at Fisherman's Warf and go all the way to the Golden gate bridge. If you still have anough "fire" left in you, than you can cross it and have a nice cup of something at the other side of the bridge!

San Francisco is the perfect city so anything you do there would be perfect -- a burrito in the Mission; sitting at the Club Level watching a Giants game and watching the boats sail the bay; eating dinner at The Slanted Door on the Embarcadero; walking through the Castro and being enveloped in the significance of fighting for equal rights of all people; shopping at the best Macys anywhere (even compared to NYC!) and hearing the cable cars go by in Union Square; hitting the SF Moma to witness a multimedia modern piece of art; dancing at Bondage a Go Go at DNA in SOMA; cuddling up in a blanket at night with a loved one on Baker Beach... oh, I could go on!
