Katrina, Thanks for that advise! I will definately carry toiletpaper and sanitiser with me at all times. Marieke, I'm going for 1 week and 3 days so I was thinking of visiting only 3 places besides La Havana which is a must. Which would be the top three cities/places to go to?

I was there a couple of years ago and what we experienced was, that it's a great place to be, lots of music, dancing, painting. A lot of it is only in spanish though. Do remember both toiletpaper as there mostly isn't any in the more public restrooms and hand sanitiser to keep the germs away. Enjoy!

oh dear i'm going in two weeks. I'm going to Havana first & then have some beach days at Varadero. thanks for the tip about toilet paper.

Go with the flow, be friendly and enjoy! Anything goes: Havana, Trinidad, Santa Clara, Camaguey, Cienfuegos, Santiago, but be certain to go to Vinales valley though (and stay away from Varadero, 'cause that sucks big time)
