Definately Vancouver!

If you love eating, you can't beat Vancouver -- just make sure it's during the summer. Mountains, parks, beaches, and the pacific ocean. Can't go wrong.

Vancouver

I'm from NSW and I say ... Vancouver. Absolutely loved my time there. So much prettier and nicer, cheaper food.

I've been to both Syndey and Vancouver and I would say Syndey beats Vanc hands down: though I don't ski. If you're a ski/board bunny then you'll most likely love vanc, bing so close to 3 ski mountains. I didn't think vanc had much culture or atmosphere though, and wasn't impressed by the city in general. Sydney has a much better day and nightlife with lots of places to go and soak up the sun in (Bondi beach being really close), and plenty of good times in Kings Cross watching the world go by, with mates and a few drinks.

Definitivamente Sydney! It is lovely and full of sun shine. You will love it!

I say both! Both places have great food, great beaches and friendly people. They have opposite seasons to each other and are both beautiful in different ways. Vancouver edges out Sydney for me because Vancouver is the only city I know of where you can go skiing in the morning and head down to the beach in the afternoon! I know, I've done it. oh, also, in aus you can Byo to restaurants and you can't in Van.

If you are into skiing/snowboarding, Vancouver is winter wonderland :)... well Whistler is, but it's only a couple hours drive. If you are into beaches, Sydney is for sure. Sydney has great weather, while Vancouver has great restaurants :)

Been to both of the places and if you like sunny weather,great beaches,and a loot more....then its definitely Sydney

...i'm going to Vancouver, so i'd say that...haven't been there yet but been to Sydney a bunch of times and it's pretty good...
