if you stay only in a city the best is Paris (culture, shopping, people..all is really wonderful!!) but I think that if you stay more time you have to go to italy..there are the best city all the world (rome, venice, firenze, pisa, milano, lecce and a lot of others) wonderful nature place (in sicily and Puglia the see is wonderful) and the people is very nice and funny..

There are so many amazing places across Europe, depending on your taste. Personally, I'm a big fan of Bavaria for the lakes, mountains, castles and cobbled streets.

I agree. Europe is so beautiful and hard to choose just one place or city. There are expensive cities and some cheaper ones. I love Berlin, Paris, Prague, Helsinki, London, Barcelona and so on. I am going to Venice next year so that will add to my list. It is too generic a question and I find it hard to just pick one. Sorry one is not enough.

I would go to Berlin or Copenhagen! Something different then Paris or Spain(both beautiful though) Copenhagen is beautiful, people or really friendly, some good shopping, great restaurants, the only thing is it is a little expensive! Berlin has a great and interesting history, you still can see the wall, are some interesting museums and there is a nice underground scene. It's really liberal over here, so that gives berlin a nice vibe!

If I was to revist a city I've been before, Edinburgh and Copenhagen are beautiful. For a more secluded weekend, Andalsnes in Norway is spectacular. If I were to try something new, Paris, Athens, and Barcelona would top the list. Or Ibiza, before I get too old to appreciate it!

Frankly it is hard to choose. At the moment I would not choose any (as I think they all have their flavour & uniqueness). At the same time I have not been to enough to justify that question. Try as many as you can. I do not think many people are able to answer this question other than the limitations of their travels. So far I like them all and have even been to some more than once. If your question is to obtain a recommendation then I would say it is not a fair question - sorry.

NOV-DEC Nurnberg for the best Winter Market, a beautiful city, great history & the best sausages ever; any large German city during Fasching (similar to Mardi Gras), just don't wear a tie on Wednesday; the day before St Paddy's Day in Galway or Dublin; Venice in the Spring; Switzerland or Innsbruck in the winter if you like skiing I personally would go to St. Petersburg, Santorini/Crete, Florence or Budapest as those are cities on my wishlist for the next visit!

Slovakia, small country but it has a lot of possibilities from natural sights, through historical sights to beautiful cities. People, however, can be a pain in the ass sometimes (and this is comming from a Slovak guy... ;-]) But, for a foreigner to Slovakia, it is quite a cheap place...
