If you're staying in Tokyo, and flying to/from Narita Airport, I suggest using a shuttle bus (here: http://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/), and picking a hotel that the bus picks up/drops off from. It's much more convenient than hauling your luggage through Tokyo's train system.

Just stay in Capsual hotels. Why pay super expensive prices for something you don'y use. You only sleep there so sleep in a capsual. They're actually quite spacious

In Tokyo try the Sunroute Asakusa which is in an interesting neighborhood frequented by Japanese tourists and is near subways and UENO stn. I would use the Kansai Skyliner express train from Narita to Ueno Stn and take a taxi to the hotel because the shuttle bus takes forever. There's a short underground pedestrian passage from the train platform to the taxi stand where you call a taxi by pushing a buzzer.

Thanks a lot! We're flying to Narita, staying in Tokyo for 3 Nights, move on to Kyoto, staying there 3 Night, move on to Hirosihima, staying 1 Night and back to Tokyo for 2 Nights. Is there a cool not too expensive Hotel near the Airport for the last one or two nights?

We stayed at Sunroute Higashi Shinjuku in Tokyo - excellent! A semi-double room has decent enough space. The attached bath had a shower and a tub. And the buffet breakfast was unbelievable - a huge spread with lots to choose from.

some hotels are only hourly (and literally have red lights on them), so make sure what kind you are getting.
