Spend the day bike riding and nature hiking at Pulau Ubin. That is definitely something off of the beaten path of most tourists and is a must see. Just try not to eat on the island instead eat the hawker center at the jetty, had a bad experience there with my friends but is definitely a good place to check out for a long afternoon.

Sentosa during the day (especially undersea world), Clarke Quay at night and the Singapore Flyer in between - catch the sunset in it, that's lovely. The Botanical Gardens are perfect for a quiet, lazy day. But if you want action, do the whole shopping thing at Orchard.

I doubt if there are 'must'-sees in S'pore, but the Chinatown and Little India neighbourhoods are a nice change from the usual hyper-glitz ...

the zoo...any of the ethnic areas, "Little India" etc...the Raffles is a fun plunge into colonial days. Sing. is very modern...ride the train up to K.L., that is a lot of fun.

Sip a singapore sling in the bar at raffles... its approx S$20. Little India is worth the visit, the transport on the trains is very easy to get around. Wonder down Orchard Rd and window shop... Get a train ticket and map and go off and explore!

I don't know if they still have 'Breakfast with Orangutans' at the zoo, but that was memorable. Also, Sentosa Island is fun.
