You have to go and visit Whistler.... It is awesome to see the Mountains while you are there!!! It is really cool to take the Ferry to Vancouver Island and Victoria as well!!!

Have to agree with the two other answers - Vancouver Island wins hands down. Tofino is a lovely spot and the west coast (national seashore) is beautiful.

mt. robson (or the rockies, which are quite close) vancouver has some great scenery for a city victoria, van island tofino, van island the okanagan. pick any city near a lake.

Ok, I used to live on Vancouver Island so I'm biased. Best time to go Aug/Sept. Orcas (killer whales) following the salmon, Very eco friendly tours from Vancouver or Victoria. Top sights, long beach on the west coast of Vancouver Island, if you like outdoor action sports Rosslin BC is good, glaciers go north, serious nature take a ferry (with sleepers) up the strait to Queen Charlotte islands, hit the Okanagan for some laid back but more developed areas, Whistler is good but very touristy. Golden has mountains so high you can't see to the clouds. Hornby Island is my favourite place in all of BC, laid back, good beaches and a view of mainland Rockies and Vancouver Island mountains. For cities, Victoria cute, charming and for more nightlife check out Vancouver. Hope this helps!
