Kem S is right. Puerto Princesa is expensive compared to Boracay. But the underground river is worth every penny. Travel in group. To travel within the city(butterfly farm,Mitra Ranch,Crocodile Farm), you can hire a tricyle for a day. The driver will serve as your travel guide. Look for Nemo while snorkeling in Hunda bay. And dont leave Puerto Princesa without eating "Tamilok". ask the locals about it.

Puerto Princesa is awesome. Lots of good beaches in Honda Bay, one can rent a boat which is way cheaper if your a group and go start your island hopping. Never ever leave without your sunblock, and camera. Honda Bay is comprised of several islets namely snake, pandan, bat, cowrie, canon, starfish, Lu-li, señorita, and meara marina) which are really good for swimming, snorkeling and diving.

I loved it in Puerto princesa! Its only a small town, but very friendly, the locals were great and treated me fantastic. Go there soon before it becomes too touristy. Although its small, its very easy to arrange trips to other places like Sabang and the underground river, or a short tricycle ride to honda bay to arrange boat hire to take you Island Hoping around the beautiful islands. Loved Palawan and cant wait to go back :)

if you are going to puerto pricesa you need to go to a small vilage on the top of the palawan island called el nido. the best snorkeling i´ve ever done. i´ts like 10 hour terrible bus to get there but its realy worth it.
