Go to yogyakarta. No seriosly, not because of the vulcano.. I don't know when you b-day is but the area there is very beautiful. So you must prob wait untill the ashes are gone there.. Besides you can visit two of the most famous temples: Borobodur (world wonder) and the Prambanan. Lots of things to do around there. I'd loved it!

By the way, my birthday was the 31st of January...

Hello everyone and thanks for your suggestions!! In the end all my plans got completely changed so my booked flights to Java where a waste. I had to be in India early February, and in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore nor Jakarta it is possible for tourists to request an Indian visa. They only assist locals and foreigners with a long term visa. So I booked myself a flight to China where I made some friends and request the visa in Beijing. That would gave me the opportunity to travel to India via Tibet and Nepal. So I got to celebrate my birthday in China with the girl I really(!) like, and I got to celebrate Chinese NewYear as well! So that was all fun and a very unexpected birthday with cake and candles! Thanks travelers!

Definitely Yogyakarta, it is such a lively place and much to see and do. If you are a hardcore urbanite, you should go to Jakarta clubbing maybe, that depends on yourself ofcourse. Happy Bday. :)
