Swiss Pass!!! I got a train pass for all of Switzerland for one month and I LOVED it! I went all over Switzerland and it didn't matter. It's great especially if you plan to travel multiple hours. (i.e Lausanne, Bern, Geneve, Interlachen...)

By rail for sure - there's a selection of rail passes (http://www.markstravelnotes.com/europe/switzerland/getting_around/rail_passes/) available which will probably serve you well.

Public transport is very easy to use in Switzerland and you can get EVERYWHERE by train or buses. The area around Lake Geneva is marvellous. Don't miss to see Montreux and Chateau Chillon (it's about one hour from Geneva)

By Train, check out Rail Passes. You can stop wherever you want, and get back on at any time with your tickets. I love trains!! Happy travels! :)

That depends on which country you are in!! Rickshaw and trains in India, private car in Bangladesh and walk where ever you can! Flying is great in Australia cos people dont realise that Melbourne is 12 hours drive from Sydney!
