Go to the Marriott hotel, they have a bar on the top floor (40th), accessible to non-residents. The prices are quite high compared to other bars in Warsaw, but the view and experience is priceless.

Dude, to see the real Warsaw you must see few thing's which you won't find in guidebook.
1. Praga district, especially Ząbkowska Street.
2. Przekąski & Zakąski Pub near the Presidential Palace.
3. Warsaw Uprising Museum <- the coolest and most modern museum in Warsaw
4. Kopernik Science Center at Vistula shore (opened in dec. 2010)
5. The Old Town is cool at evening's, check out one of the coolest pub's Arkadia, if you want to find it look for small (1m high) doors at the right wall of the market.
To see all "must seen's" from guide books try bus line number 180, it's a free tourist's line, it'll take you everywhere :P

I think Prague has a better old Town. On a nice day I would recommend to go for a long walk to Lazienki Park or a day trip to Wilanow Park on the outskirts of the city. Otherwise go to Warsaw Uprising Museum - you will understand the atrocities of war and the destruction of Warsaw...

Checkout the uprising museum. very interesting. Also managed to meet someone whose grandparents were part of the uprising further into my travels after visiting Poland.
