Great Barrier Reef - scuba diving or snorkeling. OR Kakadu National Park (Darwin).

As a Sydneysider I guess I'm honourbound to say Sydney Harbour, but really I'd have to give my vote to either Tasmanian rainforests or the Pinnacles in Western Australia.

Definately the Great Barrier Reef as everyone has said, a completely different world! Also don't forget about New Zealand only 3 hours flight from Australia. So much to see there. And you can get around the country in 3-4weeks!

Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, its slowly dieing(sp) and who know if you will ever be able to do it again.

Go diving the great barrier reef at the outer reefs of cairns the best corals, most fishes, and the best sights. or snorkling
