Crete. A large and interesting island, one needs to stay for a long time to fully view and appreciate its beauty.

I'd say Lefkada if you want to STAY... Aegean islands are cool and all,.. but in the winter you might suffer... If you just want to VISIT... well... there are islands for all flavours and tastes :)

By far Santorini. Been there about 10 times. You can find anything. Quiet beaches, busy and fun beach bars, very good night clubs, very good tavernas with typical greek dishes. And most of all, Caldera. Never got bored of it. The only thing santorini doesn't have, is magnificent beaches. They are average i would say...

Until now Crete. Is great island, i suggest to visit Ierapetra, island Chrisi, Vay beach on the east, Agios N.. etc. Crete have everything, history, two see, palm, great and crazy place to have fun like Herssonisos, old cityes like Rethimno, Agios, Hania. You can visit Knosos, you can find lot of trace of religion on this island... Ist great... believe me

I've been to Poros, Kythnos, Mykonos, Dilhos, Paros, Syros and Kea. Mykonos and Paros from what I know are the best

For me its a toss up between Patmos, Rhodes and Santorini. Although if you want more peace and quiet...I've heard that the island of Zakynthos (Zante) is nice.

Amorogos. Chilled out, relaxed, old school and you can take the donkey path up the mountain to another chilled out village. Take a ferry from Naxos.
