What musium has the largest number of famous paintings?

Hermitage in Saint-Petersburg!!!!It holds the Guinness World Record as having the world's largest collection of paintings. I visit it almost every week and it seems that to see all pictures I need several years:))) Luckily I live in this city:)))))))

The louvre in Paris, you can hang out for days there..

Another good one is the Vatican Musuem, those Popes were pretty good at collecting masterpieces (although generally sculptural etc not necessarily just paintings) but also the Sistine Chapel counts for a lot!

Depends on your definition of "Famous," but I'm going to side with the Hermitage.

Cmon people, its the Hermitage. It would take you a week (168 hours) to see everything. I spent 3 hours, didn't know where to start, and was overwhelmed with the enormity of it all....

The Hermitage (Эрмитаж) in St. Petersburg, Russia is one of the largest museums in the world and owns an impressive arsenal of artwork.

It i snot allowed, but you could use a tent and stay the night in the Louvre, because it's large and has a lot of paintings.
