Hey! How long are u gonna be there? If u have at least a week, like roadtrips and are into nature, I'll strongly recommend the Joshua Tree National Park north of San Diego near Palm Springs. It's overwhelming. Just San Diego, the harbour cruises are pretty cool, expensive, but u get to see the whole San Diego Bay. And the Mission Bay is pretty awesome too. For cool Bars, try the Sandbar up on Mission Drive right at the Beach. Or Garnett Street, there u get pretty much everything :) Enjoy ur trip!

Lived there for 5 years. Don't miss out on a trip to Cabrillo National Monument out on Point Loma. The views of the ocean and the city skyline are incredible!

The Zoo is great and so is the Wild Animal Park where you can see the animals in a more "natural" environment. Balboa Park next to the Zoo has a lot to. We also really love Sea World. The Gas Lamp district has some great Mexican restaurants and some shopping. Plan on parking in a lot and walking the area. And don't forget the beach!

Visit the gaslamp, La Jolla, and the San Diego Zoo. The gaslamp is downtown and has the best restuarants in San Diego. There is also great bars and places to Dance. La Jolla is more expensive, but is fun. Very upscale restuaurants, art galleries, a great walk by the ocean. While there, head up to the top of Mount Soledad. Best view in San Diego. Finally the Zoo is considered to be the best in the world. Very clean and well maintained. Also, they say that the collection of plants at the zoo is more rare than the animals. Very cool.

Take the trolley - it goes everywhere. Spent some time by the waterfront just looking at the ships in port.

San Diego Zoo is great. Be sure to visit Old Town San Diego ...great resturants and alot of local history. Do not miss a visit to Coronado Island and the Del Coronado Hotel. There is a water taxi that takes you over to Coronado from downtown.
