Lots of luck! Have you looked at the map?? If you are headed for San Antonio, to my knowledge, the only campgrounds are in Ft Stockton...and they are not good...except for sleeping. If you are headed toward Dallas/Ft Worth, it takes 3-4 hours out of Lubbock to get to civilization, where you may find some campsites. I got caught out in that area one night. Believe me, just because the Tx map shows some named spot on the map, that does not mean there is anything there, except maybe an armadillo. When are you going? Texas is beautiful in spring.
