Well there is Ljubljana's castle (use lift- great panorama), then you can see baroque sights, our central market, Dragon bridge (Zmajski most), museums, Roman and Art Nouveau sights, Architect Plečnik's creations like Triple bridge, historic building like NUK, etc., Zoo, squares, Prešeren's trg, . Or you can go with the boat on Ljubljanica cruise, you can see city with self-service bicycles, go by the river and enjoy in coffee or beer for instance in the little cafeterias, you can also go in the old part of the town, where are now also festivals.You can see Ljubljana from hot air baloon. About restaurants I really recommend Foculus (near NUK), although there are also some cheap restaurants where you can eat a lot. We also have chinese, mexican , italian and other restaurants like this. Really clean and organized city! The architecture is not its most attractive thing, but it is surely charming if you walk around the river and town. Go to Metelkova, which is the cultural neighborhood in town, its nightlife is interesting (cheap beer and lots of people) and there's art everywhere.. The food and local beer are also really good!

Ljubljana is great! I agree that the central river and architecture is great, as are the strong espresso's that my friend and I seemingly lived of a a week! So, In answer to your question. Roam around the city (they have some good markets as well around the central river area) then spend the evening drinking beer, followed by the morning Espresso's! Enjoy! www.anyroad.net
