Prague to Berlin use Student Agency Bus (www.studentagency.cz) or Eurolines Bus (www.eurolines.com). If you want to go to Italy, I would recommend using WizzAir. They fly from Prague to Venice, Rome, Bari, Milan, and Naples. WizzAir is a budget airline so tickets are fairly cheap, but there will be additional baggage fees if you're bringing a lot with you.

I did what you are planing to do, first I did Europe by train. buy your ticket in Berlin about 3 days in advance that way it will be half price and don't forget to reserve a seat, just because you have a ticket it doesn't mean you can have a seat, then do the same in Prague but no half price there. From Prague to Roma take a sleeper unit or 1st class, the trip from Prague to Roma is 12 hrs via Vienna.

I am living in Dresden and I know that there is a very cheap bus service 4 times a day between Dresden and Berlin for 9 Euros one-way and the same company offers a bus service to Prague. The bus to Prague leaves at 7am so it might be better to stay a night. This is a great city :-)

from Berlin to Prague try to take a ride. there is a big organisation called "MITFAHRZENTRALE" that put in touch different persons (drivers and people who need a ride) in order to organize the trips. Anyway check in internet that organization... from prague to Italy i would suggest you the bus, there is a bus company, europe... something (sorry i forgot the name) that organize trips everywhere in europe an it is very cheap!. Have a nice trip!

I would try HITCH-HIKING.It's pretty easy to find a ride in this part of Europe. Use big gas stations along highways as your pick up places. Beliecve me, it's the cheapest way to go around and it's doable
