Whats the currency in Madagascar?Give your answer

The current currency is the Ariary but was changed from the Malagasy Franc. Be careful and always clarify which is the one you are being quoted. It's a common and semi honest scam to just be quoted a price and pay in Ariary which is actually worth more that the Franc that is still accepted though not distributed.

But you can use Euros for big purchases like car hire (but not flights for some reason).

1 euro should be 2395.6000 Ariary but if you're going to change money in madagascar, the change is more and less about 2500 ariary, especially in little agencies.

its called ariary, recently been changed from fmg. five fmg is one ariary. A thousand ariary is one nz dollar.
