Question asked in : Salamanca - 3 years ago

When I take the RENFE from Madrid to Salamanca, should I book it in the Internet or can I just buy the same tickets in the station?? Problem is: I arrive by plane and if it is late I might wanna take another train.

It's easier and cheaper to go by bus...about 20 euros. Go to http://www.avanzabus.com/web/?lang=en. It will take 2.5 hours with the express that leaves every hour till 23h00. You can reserve online.

eitherway... through internet you might have a discount, and they at the station, print your boardng pass... still I personally suggest you take the bus. Much cheaper, also fast and safe. Trains are fine, but much more expensive

Hey! I've done that before. You should be able to just buy tickets at the station. That's what I did. You can take a bus too, though. It only takes like 2 hours and it's around 40Euros. That's my experience anyway! Good luck!

Now I did actually both. First I took the train. It had a very noisy diesel engine and I got a good headache. On the way back I took the bus which was very comfortably, but slightly more expensive. They told me it is because this is the express bus. You just need more time to get to the airport when taking the bus.

You can definitely buy your ticket in advance on internet. Just print it out at home but you can buy it in the station as well. Don't miss that place. It's awesome!!
