You can visit any time, but summer months are much much hotter. Make sure you drink plenty of water and consider going by tuk tuk instead of walking or cycling cause its much easier when its hot out... Jade Johnston | http://www.ouroyster.com

In January and February. It's winter but the weather is great. When it's summer it gets way too hot, and you have to stay at the hotel for about 3 hours at lunch time, just because of the heat and the sun. Be careful with the dates of the chinese and vietnamese new years, places get more crowded.

We were there in February and it was quite warm, but I think that's better than rain! It was humid, but fine for spending the day in the sun, provided you've got sunscreen and lots of water for wandering about the temples! I recommend cycling or taking a Tuk-Tuk, because you'll get nice fresh air rather than sitting in a stuff bus.

Just got back yesterday after spending 5 days in Cambodia with 3 in Angkor Wat. It did rain in the late afternoon, but it was HOT! Make sure to bring sunscreen and try to go as early in the morning as you can, because by midday it is very hot and humid. As this was March it wasn't the wet season

I went in early July (wet season) and it was perfect, only raining for an hour or two a day. The roads around Siem Reap (town next to Angkor Wat) are pretty good as they've been built recently. As is the new highway system linking most of the country. So you don't need to be too concerned about roads washing out. I would definitely go in the off season (May to October), because then you have virtually all the temples to your self which is just incredible and accommodation is cheaper as well.

Cambodia's peak tourist season is between November and January & travellers arrive in their droves to take advantage of the lack of rain and the relative cool. From October to April wind feels like a hair-dryer set on high. From May to October is the wet season and it floods all the time and washes out roads.
