I can suggest Lido in Dzirnavu st. 74/76. They serve more like national food.

Just came back from a weekend in Riga, LIDO is a real latvian choice, the food is good, it's a real budget choice so don't expect real cuisine or romance, but i get why it's always busy there!

Vincents Bergs Rossini La Dome Fabrika Felini Paparazzi Stake Haos Uzbekistana for exotic try Gallic restaurant in Old town (gallic icecream my favorite) Lido is local bistro brand: you can get there food like lots of fried patatoes, meet, salats, soup , panckekes etc

Check out Charlestons. Been there and know the owner personally. Great staff when you need a friendly smile. Lido is a must for all tourists but Charlestons is just great casual dining. Local and international cuisine.

Lido - good Latvian food to try, always fresh. Enriko pulkstenis, Paldies dievam piektdiena ir klat, mojo cafe, vincent (for sufisticated people), don't eat at steak haos, TGI fridays etc (tourist traps)

The Steiku Haoss is still there, right next to the big square at the end of the brivibas bulvaris. The best restaurant in Riga in my opinion is the Kiploku Krogs, it's a restaurant where you can eat everything with garlic, try the broccoli soup. Yummy! :) Furthermore I'd recommend Iguana (Elizabetes iela) and the LIDO center on the highway to Jurmala.

Food in Riga was overall good! I do suggest like Marita P the Lido restaurant.

There are many good restaurants. I liked Hospitalis, cuz it was a bit strange/weird in a nice kitschy way and an interesting experience and on top of that I ate very good food!They have a website...I am not sure of the adress.

When I was in riga few years ago there was near marketsqare great place called steiku haoss. I don´t know is it still there. Steaks were great!
