definitely husavik! go for north sailing company. my friend and i booked a whales, puffins and sails tour and it was awesome. the captain and the guide (who is his daughter) are great, very friendly, funny and helpful. and the surprise treat captain's privilege is also quite something :)))

Husavik is very good, but I heard Olafsvik is good too, but I haven't had the chance so far to do the trip there. In Husavik I saw whales(humpback and mincke) on all my trips, sometimes dolphins too

I would say Húsavík. Although its a stretch from the capital, it is the best place to go whale watching in my opinion

You can find Whale Watching in most Towns and cities in Iceland.
But I would say Húsavík on the North Coast is the best one.
Two days ago tourists even spotted a pack of Killer Whales hunting and eating a Mink whale, wich is kind of rare to see. It was spotted just out of Húsavík.

Husavik :D bit of a drive out there tho .. but its much more peaceful out there than in the trips from reykjavik :D to travel to husavik .. you can fly from Reykjavik to akureyri and take a bus from there. or rent a car and drive around the country :D i think the true icelandic nature is more in the highlands where you drive :P but the fjords are realy cool too

I have hear that in a place called Ólafsvík. Im not really sure, though. I have been only from Reykjavík... it was very nice but only saw some Minke whales and supposedly from Ólafsvík you can see, among other, killer whales and blue whales... Once again, i dont know, that is what i have heard
