Pai! Northern Thailand. It's an amazing, beautiful fun little city. Lots of nature to see: waterfalls, tropical type forests. Not a beachy place, but a lovely little town.

chatucha weekend market. if no time going out of bangkok, it's a good place to shop and kill time. just very hot!!

Similan Islands off Phuket, Krabi area,& Ayutthaya for ruins

I would always recommend Koh Phi Phi,its a beautiful island.you need to go to the view point and watch a sunset:)

Thailand offers a huge range of different places due to your mentality. I prefer a not too built up place that's still not desolate. I'd recommend Koh Chang on the North east coast. A couple of hours from Bankok. A medium sized island that you can scooter around. Great for diving and snorkeling. During season nightlife is not as vibrant as Phuket or Pattaya, but still good.
