Panama, no doubt! Only Bocas del Toro is similar to Costa Rica. But CR can also be pretty cheap. Depends on where and when you go. If you eat where locals eat, it is usually cheaper..and sometimes even better (at least at the carribean coast). But to be honest, I find both countries pretty cheap :)

Depends what you want. Costa Rica is a popular ecotourism destination, with a very stable political system, public medical coverage and is a peaceful place to live

Panama is much cheaper, but it is not as safe or beautiful as Costa Rica. People in Costa Rica are much more charming and welcoming than in Panama for tourists in my experience.

I mean Panama is cheaper than Costa Rica, for sure. I set up my own "Marlboro index", and according to this is Panama one of the best countries!

Costa Rica is more expensive in general. Panama has its "expensive" places like Bocas del Toro (because there are a lot of tourists, especially Americans). If you go out of these touristic places Panama is cheaper, for sure.

I was there last year Dicember, and for me Costa Rica and Panama is quite similar, but I recomend Costa Rica, it is more beautiful.

hi, depend of the service you disire! more expensive is costa rica, but every thing is done for tourist. and really a good quality! panama is cheap, but less develop for tourist. but both are place to visit.
