Singapore is Awesome - if you only go to one place whilst there - go to the Night Safari Beijing, China - visit the Houtongs, give you a real idea of what it is like. Do a day trip to the Great Wall (there are 3, Sumati - spelt wrong - is the best) Xi'an, China - tandom bike ride on the city wall! (or just normal ride). Visit the Terracota Warriors.....

It really depends on what kind of person you are. I personally love Bangkok, but I've also met some people who hate it there. Bangkok is full of international people, international atmosphere and the nightlife is great there, many fun places to go shopping, but some people might hate the bad traffic jam, air pollution, touts etc. I see many people who recommended Luang Prabang, Lao. I travelled in Lao for one month, and been to all over Lao. Of course, I've been to Luang Prabang, and it was my least favorite place in Lao. People are not as friendly as those in other part of Lao, guesthouse were expensive compared to other part of Lao, there were no 'local' people there. There were sellers and travellers. If you want to experience real Lao's life, don't go to Luang Prabang, but if you want to see fancy temples of Lao, hang out with fellow travellers, go there. There are some much more interesting places in Lao, so I'd recommend you to find those. ex) Don Det, Don Khong, Muang Ngoy, Bang Kong Lor etc. The airport in Singapore, Changi Airport, is really amazing, but just for Singapore city, a week will be more than enough I think, especially for backpackers. Vietnam.. I haven't been there, but I recently heard many stories from fellow travellers that Vietnamese are so interested in making money from foreigners that they had to run away from them to Lao. Beijing and Shanghai, I haven't been there, but I heard those places are quite nice and it'll be easier to travel after the Olympics. Tokyo and Kyoto are quite interesting, I heard, too. Seoul, South Korea is a great place to visit if you know where to go. Seoul is a fun modern city with many historical sites. It'll be better if you know where to go before visiting as English is not as widely spoken as Singapore or Thailand. shopping areas, traditional palace, traditional villages are all so much fun, and South Koreans are especially nice to foreign travellers.

Kathmandu, Nepal! The Kathmandu valley is close enough to see some of the countryside and the Thamel area is just as good as Bangkoks Khaosan road! All in all it's worth staying there for 2 weeks and probably you still haven't seen everything.

Lots of Asian cities are worth visiting; Saigon's probably my favourite, Manila my least favourite. Depends what you want; if its shopping and city of the future stuff, then Singapore, HK, Dubai, Tokyo and Shanghai are the places to go. If you somewhere more...earthy, then as I said, Saigon, and Bangkok. If you want culture or history, Chang Mai in Thailand, Siem Reap in Cambodia are good bets.

Singapore airport is amazing, you dont need long in singapore itself though. Thailand all over is a must, as well as cambodia and vietnam, go from sihinoukville in cambodia to angkor wat, then fly to hanoi in Vietnam and make your way down to hoi an then ho chi minh city.

Tokyo is my favourite city in Asia. It's really the most unusual city I've ever seen. But it's safe, clean, efficient, good fun. The shopping, sight seeing and the food is amazing. There's a good party scene too. Just remember to save your cash for it, and apart from the big hotels, most places in Japan won't accept credit cards so remember your atm card.
