Gozo definitely a place to stay, though on Malta i'd say avoid Valetta and surroundings and Mdina these are very touristic. Personnaly we stayed in Bugibba (north St Paul's Bay) i was rather pleasant. we would go again we would stay in Gozo though

Gozo is very quiet and Comino totally empty.

Oslo is actually quiet without being empty or dull. It must be a cultural thing but people just don't yell in public or honk car horns. When I got off the plane in Oslo I thought my ears hadn't popped it was so quiet. But the people are still really friendly and chatty indoors. There's just a really calm, quiet atmosphere on the streets.

gozo is practicaly empty in the winter.
