Algajola, between Calvi and l Ile Rousse, is a nice spot to spend few days, nice and not as busy as these touristy places

In the South, Roccapina beach is outstanding : it looks like a swimming pool ! The rocks on the west side of the beach offer a view to a beautiful underwater life. Among other southern beaches of interest (but not in august !) : Palombaggia, Santa Giulia, Rondinara... Up north, Saleccia is my best : used to shoot the "Longest day" D-Day movie, it is amazing !

Corsica is quite large. Personally I dont like beautiful but crowded beaches on the SE part of Island (San Ciprianu, Palombaggia, Santa Giulia, Rondinara). My favourite is a Lotu beach and beach in St.Florent. There are few beaches at the Northern Corsica, they are also very nice and privacy is much better there. NW coast - Ostriconi beach, Saleccia & Lotu (W of St.Florent). There is a nice beach in Barcaggio on the Cap Corse, but its too windy there almost everytime.

On the South east of the island You will find the "Golfe de Santa Giulia" with the best beaches of the island (it's where I learned to swim...).
